Here in Michigan we do the good ole dirty delete. SAI sucks on every vehicle that’s ever had it. Cheater way of diluting the readings from the exhaust.

Personally I usually go OEM on stuff like this. But they have such a high failure rate, how much worse can aftermarket be??

That would definitely simplify things a ton! Or find the guy that puts blinders on for some extra paper.

I’ve done dirt legal for some Moto bikes, worked out good just takes a bit of time to get everything finalized.
I’ll look into that one too.

FYI, I looked into doing this on mine and in CA it's considered a misdemeanor to drive a vehicle that's reg'd out of state with an in-state DL. Only in CA of course....
So not totally foolproof and an officer could still choose to screw you if he/she chooses.

It’s only a problem if the vehicle is registered in your name in MT and you have a CA drivers License. With dirt legal and others the vehicle is registered to an LLC not an individual. It’s the same thing U-Haul does. It’s why almost all uhauls have AZ registration because it’s cheaper to register there.

This was contributing to my problems, as well as the 3rd gen fwd aft pivot having a very aggressive edge. The entire bushing wasn't supported by the pocket, so it chewed a set to nothing each Moab trip.

Lathe. Delrin machines like butter and likes heavy cuts. 1" center hole cuts with a twist drill without a pilot a few thou oversized, perfect.

Dirty cheap. Especially considering how long they will last in comparison to poly.
