It's almost time for me to get new tires. I have 285's on right now with a 2.5" spacer up front but I kinda want to try 315's if they'll fit. The 285's rubbed on the body in the rear part of the wheel well when I turned really hard. I'm thinking about getting a 1.5" body lift to fix that problem. But I was thinking: If I got the body lift, and a 1.25" - 1.5" wheel spacer, would I be able to get away with 315's? If anyone has tried this or knows if it would work or not, please let me know.

Doubt it will work without a bunch of hassle...I'd stick with 285's to save your gas mileage, horsepower, and gears. Giant tires put a lot of stress on a small pickup like a Tacoma.

It would only really work if you got the body lift and even then you will have to cut a lot.

they will work if you tub the inner fenders and use that nifty tool Jlee posted to remove A LOT of metal.

I honestly say go for it if that's what you want your going to have to tub the fender wells to fit them. my next set of tires will be 35x12.50's with a 3" lift and this will be my best friend.

I doubt they would fit without major work. I'm running 295/75/16's on Pro Comp 16x8 7031's with 4.5" BS and have some minor clearance issues but nothing to bad. I'm running my adjustable 5100's at 3" of lift.

if your only rubbing on the rear of the wheel well on the body then just do the pinch weld mod.
