I recently installed the aFe 76mm TB and since then, when I start the truck it idles very high and settles down to around 1k after so many miles [still not ideal]. They say it can take the truck a long time to relearn, but I have driven it long enough for it to have figured it out by now. Ive also attempted the process of keeping the truck in the run position and depressing the gas pedal 3 times, shutting it off, and starting it with no luck. Ive also cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner and the TB with TB cleaner (connector contacts for both as well) Battery was disconnected. Im also noticing it bogs down and / or idles rough even more recently. It does not die. It does not struggle while im accelerating that I notice, but I feel the exhaust sounds a bit different. Mostly notice it at idle [It has shaken heavily once or twice]. I will also mention I cleaned the air intake box and checked that the filter was good. Before installing the TB I had a new clutch installed, and o2 sensors to alleviate P0420 and P0430 codes however that did not work and I think I now need sims for those codes. (They are the least of my worries at this moment)

I have this tuned using OVTune 87 (I just recently switched it from using 91)

should I set the ECU back to factory/stock? should I switch it back to 91?

Is anyone able to read my OBDII live data and provide feedback? Im including images of all codes as well.

I have had iridium spark plugs in it for maybe 30k miles. I just bought redline fuel system cleaner and plan to drop that into the tank when it arrives (next couple days) The exhaust is all aftermarket.

Please, any help is much appreciated!

If I should check fuses, im assuming its easy to see if one is blown. Where do you buy a replacement?

If I need to do ohm tests or any other tests similar please explain how to perform it in detail

CODES: P0505 idle air control system | P0102 mass or volume air flow a circuit low | P0113 intake air temperature sensor 1 circuit high | and the dreaded P219A [no misfire codes along with it] bank 1 air-fuel ratio imbalance

P0420/0430 are cat efficiency codes. Most likely you'll need new cats.

Otherwise did you touch the sensor at all with anything? Also if it happened after swapping throttle bodies, first thing aside from making sure your intake is properly installed is toss the old one back on and see what happens

    Hey @joba27n appreciate the input!

I'm pretty sure nothing touched the wire, but I've also done this 3-4 times within the past couple years so I did wonder if I just needed to throw a new MAF at it. I'll have to try the TB swap back to OE. I've checked all of the clamps along the intake and see no issues so should be nice and tight.

    Your MAF sensor isn't working.
I can tell by the readings and RPM.
Let me pull the data and diagrams.
We need to do a few checks.

Until then, make sure it is plugged in good.

    Unplug the MAF sensor.
Check pin 1 (Blue / White wire).
    It should be about 12v

I bet it does read 12v. As the IAT are close @87 degrees.
But it doesn't hurt to check.

Seems to be plausible, we have a reading of 0.02 lb/sec. That would be 1.2 lb/min or 9.07 g/s

Not sure why any scan tool would use lb/sec for MAF...

    Standard vs Metric.
If you use standard measurements, it goes lbs.
    Metric uses grams.

I still need to change that setting on my scan tool app.

Most scan tools will display lb/min in standard, lb/sec isn't really a useable measurement.

Thank you for jumping in @TnShooter & @Dm93! Just tested that and it does measure 12v

Does your scanner have Freeze Frame Data? (It does, I looked)
It looks like you are showing us live data.
And it looks ok in those pictures.

Pull the Freeze Frame data and let us have a look.

I thought we figured out in the supercharged thread that the stock MAF can’t handle the 76mm TB and you need one from another vehicle so that the 0-5V range isn’t blown out… is my memory correct?

Hey @TnShooter, I don't know if it helps to mention this or not, but the 2nd live data set I posted was seconds after I started it. Should I let it idle for x amount of time or drive for a bit before capturing freeze frame?

I'll work on getting this loaded tomorrow.

    Thanks again

A larger TB shouldn't affect the MAF providing the stock MAF housing is used, the ECU may not be happy though because the expected airflow for a given throttle position and RPM may not match the actual airflow.

Quick and easy would be to put the old TB back on and see if it operates correctly.

All I’m finding right now on my phone is that some mention a MAF Calibration. Not sure if OVTune will help you, but Overland Tailor Tuning will probably have a solution for you if it’s just a MAF issue. @JustDSM - does this fall into a custom remote tune to diagnose/debug/tune the MAF to work with the 76mm throttle body?

@TnShooter here is a link to the results. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Wszgkvv1JTaWZacWA

The first freeze frame I did, I think something was wrong because surely the Load, MAF, and RPM would have some sort of value.
Second set is another live data
*Third is after I reset and captured freeze frame with values for everything.*

Went for a short drive today and really noticed the truck acting like its 'coughing'. Seemed to mostly be noticeable at lower rpm.
Even after a few miles, idle wouldnt drop much below 1k.

I see -40 for the IAT.
    That is NOT right.
That indicates an issue with the MAF/IAT sensor, or wires going to it from the ECM.
    Or less likely the ECM.

@Dm93 might know off the top of his head if a short or an open is -40.
But I'd do some wire wiggling and see if I can get the MAF/IAT to act up.

Watch live data and wiggle the MAF sensor wires.
The IAT is part of the MAF sensor.
