The frame repair didn't cost much in materials - just a dirty job.
I'd rather fix the frame twice than do the rocker panels once.

Back at it today.

4 flute 7/8-6 left handed tandem acme tapping done. That wore me out, lol.

 

Ex-coworker made this hammer over 100 years ago. I smacked a piece in the lathe with it a few weeks ago and it broke and flew up towards my face.

Yesterday he saw it and said "you can wood glue that back together, I had it super glued from where it broke before"

Couple things-
Through the years working you see some of the same people in the same places. Our badges get checked by the same 3 guys day after day, year after year by security. You make small talk and share some of the same gripes.

One of those guys was killed in a car wreck yesterday morning on the way to work. Overcorrected, ejected on I95 into oncoming traffic. Ran over by 4 vehicles. 65 year old, less than a year from retirement. Game over. Wear your seat belts.

This guy is driving around with all these sheds in his work truck. He said he found them all on the clock. That's pretty incredible to me. There are some extremely large deer out here, nobody hunts anything out here. I saw a massive 10 pointer in broad daylight a few weeks ago. *Large for Florida anyways...

 

I'll tell him if I ever see him again

Here it is, a local machine shop brought this to us. It's for their sister machine shop in Texas. They have a machine down, this is for the cross slide. They said they need it ASAP and money was no object

 

Texted him. He's hibernating for a bit. He's fine.
