Hey guys! Noob here. I'm looking into getting aftermarket wheels for my Tacoma. First glance into the aftermarket world, has me a little confused lol. My co-worker is selling his 17" x 9" w/ 0 offest wheels from his old truck and was wondering, if my truck would accept them with my existing Sumitomo Encounter AT's (265/70R17). My truck is 100% stock, NO leveling kit. Not sure if I would have to get a leveling kit or any other modifications to get these tires to work.

Depends on the offset. I can attest that at a zero offset on a stock truck, that tire size will very likely rub on the mudflaps. I had to remove my front flaps to get rid of the rubbing. I later converted them to RekGen flaps that I modified slightly to prevent rubbing.

Go past a zero offset (more negative) and you may have more severe issues.

Ahh yeah, forgot to mention that. The wheels he's selling are 0 offset. I checked the inside of the wheels and they're marked 'ET 0." I already took off the front mudflaps on both sides. The OEM mudflaps on the Tacoma's are terrible. I caught a curb with one and crunched my passenger door jamb so I ripped them off.

They should fit fine then. There can be minor differences in overall diameter between tire brands, but with the mudflaps gone, you should be fine. Here is my 2019 with the same size wheels and tires on it. No suspension mods of any kind.

Hahahaha, yeah for sure. I sniped my truck before they even had a chance to take pics of it. Just got it in the dealer ship and made a listing of it before it was detailed after they bought it. I used to work for a local Toyota dealership and fell in love with Toyotas Sand color. Not many other makes can nail the Tan. Drove 2 hours to get it. Hopefully soon ill have those bad boys on my truck!

Do you think those wheels would cause and issue with the skirt under the front bumper? I completely forgot about that.
