Is a front bumper w/winch too heavy?

I want to install a front bumper and winch to my Tacoma that has a 2 1/2 shock lift with standard springs. The Fab Four Premium Bumper looks like a good bumper that will last a long time, but I am afraid that the extra weight will lower my truck. Has anyone experienced adding a winch bumper on a 2nd Gen. Tacoma? Do you have any suggestions?

You say you have a 2 1/2 inch shock lift, what is that? Are they adjustable coilovers, or are they just a spacer above the coilover?

If adjustable, you could try adding more preload (lift) to make up for the sag from the bumper. The better answer would probably be getting beefier springs. OEM are something like 590 lb springs, most aftermarket are 600, with heavier rates available. 650 is most common. 700 is available, but plenty of shocks aren't compatible with those.

My truck is far heavier than most folks on here, and 650 has been fine for me.

Yes weight will lower your front end, by how much depends on too many factors for others to know for you.

If your concerned about weight choose something else, that bumper is 160 lbs without the winch.... My whole setup is 140 lbs WITH lights and winch.

The Fab Four bumper seems like a bad deal all around. it’s heavy, ugly, and expensive.
There’s cheaper and much better steel options. Bamf, brute force, arb, relentless
And if spending 2000+ you can probably find an aluminum bumper that weighs under 70lbs instead of the 160 that the Fab Four bumper is.
