6 more loads of leaves in the pile. Couple more weeks I think and I’m gonna call it regardless of how much is left on the trees.

Both the Home Depot and Lowes still have both out though Halloween is winding down. With less than 2 weeks to go most people who are going to buy Halloween merch have aready done so. So clearnance it is. Same with Christmas. By the 2nd week of December Christmas is effectively over in retail and clearances begin.

My wife worked retail for many years. Any where from 6 to 8 weeks for small holidays to 10 to 12 weeks for major holidays is typically how far ahead the merch begins. By the end of December you'll see Valentines Day cards and candy begin to appear. By January spring/summer merch will start peeking out. Summer is over in retail on July 5th. And so begins fall. The cycle never stops

Yep ... my wife says same ... but she still thinks it's ridiculous. :der:
She also says WalMart went so much worse when they started being run by a board ... is that same as going public? I get the words confused. Bottom line is she doesn't think the current crap is what Sam Walton had in mind or would have ever allowed to happen. :notsure:

I got enough of mine up to where I can still see grass between the remaining leaves that fell latest. Figure they'll compost for the most part and not lay heavy/kill the grass.

Just blew my entire lawn, leaf free for at least 30 seconds. Still significantly more on the trees than off. Lots of oaks and they're the last to drop.

Pulled and washed all of the window screens and washed the windows. I use car wash soap and my wash brush on a pole. Streak free.

It's all about answering to share holders. A handful of people in a deep inner sanctum of most companies are who call the shots.....along with bean counters. But it is what it is.

The older I get the more I could easily fall victim to worrying about and/or getting angry about things I can't control or influence. So I'm learning to let things go as much as possible and enjoy as much as I can. My family needs that from me. But I have to be careful, because at any given moment I can become that angry old man. Stupid people or people with little self awareness wear on me.

Did I mention how much I love this cordless shop vac? Lots of power, good battery life. It's so damn convenient. No cords to mess with. Light weight.

Maples are showing color around here, finally. But no droppage. My trees haven't shown the first signs of color yet. Typical though.

Yes, indeed. I've wanted one for quite awhile. The GreenWorks seemed reasonably priced and included the battery and charger.

Understood ... that's why I have TW; so I don't spout frustrations at wife or other's here IRL. ;)

I've reached the buy once cry once stage of life ... if it's something I know I'll use and it makes the chore easier for me ... I'll buy it. Within reasonable fiscal restraints of course. You can't take it with you and I ain't leaving all of it to the kids ... they'd just go buy what I should have. ;)

Far as I know you are, but if I piss you off, I can take a TW hiatus with zero consequences ... as we both have proven. ;)
