    I just use rinse and dont get really close to it. It only looks shiny because its wet, Im sure it already looks like ass again.

    You know, just for a little perspective…

    My Dad bought a ‘66 Ford Galaxy500 brand new (I wasn’t even alive). I remember helping hand him wrenches, riding along to the muffler shop and seeing the sparks, hearing the “POP!” when the bead of the new tire set, his lectures about bumper jacks and putting the spare under the corner ‘just in case’, etc.

    That car was filthy, rusty and greasy. He junked it some time in the eighties at 140K because even Red, the mechanic that would put an inspection sticker on just about anything, wouldn’t even pass it. I mean, I never remember that car not being mechanically dirty/greasy and everything seemingly rusted to near failure…

    people gripe a lot, but cars have come a long way.
