Overland Torque Tune (OTT) by Overland Tailor

I emailed Matt at VF a bunch if you want to send him an email as well may help get the tools we need to squeeze a few more horses. Considering it makes next to no power any increase is felt lol.

 

Putting in my LCE header today, would you recommend a re-tune?

 

VF Tune is different from OTT Tunes, they have seperate section in Performance forums.

 

I am not talking about a different tune, vf tuner is who makes the tuning software

 

You will not need a retune unless you'd like to change your setting.

The improved scavenging and additional air mass the engine moves through it, will be accounted for with the mass airflow sensor. The additional airflow and subsequent load will operate in their respective regions of the mapping. Should we have EROM file avail., I might suggest a tweak or two..

 

Took my long trip today which is a mix of normal roads, highways, and mountain back roads. I can say the drive this year with the OTT tune was way smoother than my trip here last year when my only modification was the Anderson intake manifold spacer. This definitely is exactly what the truck has been missing all this time and it is definitely worth it for all the 6MT drivers. The one part of the trip is a good mile climb up a steep hill, had no issue climbing that in 4th gear around 2500-2700rpm and with minimal throttle input. Last year I needed to be in 3rd gear well above 3k and a lot more input. I realize the throttle sensitivity is increased with the mild setting, but even with that in mind it was still obvious how much of a difference was needed. I finally feel like the truck drives as best as possible for what it has to work with. Wish I had done this sooner!

Quick question and I apologize if this has been asked before, but will a reflash work to increase the alternator charging output? I recently bought an AGM battery and need to boost my charging capability for it. Currently sitting around 13.5 according to my scangauge. There is a voltage booster with fuse that I can buy to remedy this also, but I wanted to check here first. Thanks.

 

Only on 3rd Gen (2.7 & 3.5) Tacoma and 4th Gen Tacoma.

I've been researching tuning my truck and am really happy with what I have read and seen regarding the OTT tune. Hoping to book a date near SF or Sac sooner than later. Bravo on all of the effort you have put into your offerings. Coming from the Subaru community, an OTS Cobb tune was an absolute must for a stock STI. I could not believe how poorly they ran from the factory. (Garbage CA91 gas is not good for stock EJ's. Made em' run lean...) Anyway, I hope to do some business soon and am very glad to have found this thread.

This may not be the place for this, so I apologize in advance, but where are ya'll putting your CARB stickers? Inside driver door, under hood, no where because the smog station can't tell it's tuned anyway?

 

It should be placed under the factory emissions sticker on the hood.
