Just got a project done. And there is always something that needs fixed. I’m not the smartest when it comes to profiles. But if it needs fixed I’ll find it in a post here. Lol

Two very nice trucks. I started out with an 88 SR5 Extra Cab V6, it was the most rugged of all my four Toyotas. The old ones were legend…. I wish I still had it.

Had a '90 SR5 4x4 X-tra cab that I got used in '91, and kept it until last year. Did a 3.4 conversion in '05, after a hose from my remote oil filter blew, and turned the original 3.0 into a 400 lb paperweight. LOVED the 3.4 in it!

How much did it run you for the swap conversion? I'm thinking about swapping my 4skinner 3.4 into my 90 SR5 but hesitant bc I wanna keep the originality in it. The Slow 3-0 is gut less but it's never ever ever ever left me stranded at least not yet.

I bought a rolled '02 Taco, so that I'd have most of the pieces I'd need, so when all was said and done, after selling parts off the Taco, buying the custom wiring harness and exhaust crossover, I'd say it was about $4k, give or take, plus a boat load of sweat equity, as I did the whole project solo. The conversion gave me more power, way better drivability, and better gas milage than the 3.0, so that's why I loved it!
BTW- I never had any issues with my 3.0, either, until the remote oil filter thing, which had been my own addition (my truck was also built in Japan, as was among the last to have asbestos head gaskets (which is what it was designed for).
