Yeup.

 

All right meatheads , I need suggestions. I planted this Blue Spruce 20 some years ago. We used to put lights on it for Christmas, you can see it coming up the street. It’s too tall and I can’t reach the top anymore. I have a pull pruner 12’ , 6’ step ladder, tree is probably 25-30’ tall, any suggestions.

 

Personally, I've gotten to an age where I don't much do things like that anymore. I used to climb the house and string up lights all over the place. But it just doesn't seem worth a potential accident. My vote is retire the tree from Christmas duty....unless you think you can do something with the pole pruner.

 

I’m 4’ short of being able to do it safely, I need something 20’ or so, could make a long stick, probably should give it up and waste my time on something safer. Wife likes the Christmas decorations thing.

 

2 choices
#1 rent a bucket lift from HD.
#2 forget the tree is there.

No....I gave that up to another guy. '21 was my last year with it. I have no idea if he did anything with it. Since coming back I only hang out here

 

So you learned your lesson.

 

It's just better for me to hang out here. I have my reasons.
