Don't you have access to a lathe and welder? And untold, unpaid help? Fix it!!

(or quit stomping on the gas,)

Looks like he already got started on the lathe-work. Maybe the trick is to stay on the gas longer. Until it goes back to round!

    2WD isn't all that bad.
Don't let it go too long or it starts triggering heightened anxiety and panic from being without.
Like a smoker without a light.
An alcoholic who has to have that 1st drink of the day with a straw because their hands shake so bad they can't hold the glass.
    You catch my drift.

I 'Instagram' posed in 2wd. Check out the nice digger behind the rear tire.

I'm guessing the boulders are blocking the way because there isn't a bridge to complete the road.

It's on public land. There's no signs or postings and as far as I know....nobody owns the water.
If there's a way around the boulders it should be game on, ya?

I always have tge Silky saw, too. It's pretty effective at getting rid of obstacles.

They didn't want to make everyone else feel bad.

This is the correct response. Knew I could count on you :fistbump:

In all fairness, it's pretty common around the Toyota circles to agree that the 5th gen 4Runner is one of the best vehicles Toyota has ever made. Period.

I really do love it. But, why do I keep thinking about trading it for a 100 series Landcruiser?

As far as actual off-road capability, it really seems to be a crapshoot depending on the type of obstacle. I have seen spots where long boys had a definite advantage, and other areas where the shorter wheel base seem to be better.

It seems like the best bet is to get whichever vehicle suits your lifestyle best overall, and adapt it to your level of off-roading.

And all of my wheeling there's only one type of obstacle I've seen 4Runners really struggle with (assuming you're on things you should be on and not doing something stupid like blowing your engine up while flipping upside down) And that is super steep super long climbs where the long wheelbase of a trail limo would benefit. That being said, 4Runners really aren't shorter than most tacos. Maybe by a tiny bit. So... Boils down to driver skill and good equipment at that point

But as a daily do anything off-road adventure kid hauling soccer Mom ultimate toy machine... The 4Runner's hard to beat.

Yup. this confirms why I have a Taco!
It seems half the women in my neighborhood drive 4Runners. I mean, most of them are pretty hot, One is a nurse and former gymnast :D.
    But still...

@rubbersidedown still thinking of going to the eagle park/mall crawl event? I’m thinking of swinging by after work tomorrow, considering the 4runner is all clean and shiny.

Yep, still planning to go, hoping to see others there. I should probably wash up the truck tonight...

Starts at 5, but I probably won't be there until around 6.

March 28-April 5 2025-KenTWarky25 is the current pithy name. Not sure where we are headed yet-plan on planning in December so I can forget and relearn it all in March. And, I have already planned this trip, so... relearn it again and again.
