I will not mix different brands or viscosity's on initial fill. Topping up if I don't have what I used then yea, whatever, better than running something low. Had to top off the 4th gen a bit ago and just used some 0w20 I had laying around.

I do have an oil and filter stash problem though... :anonymous:

    Oh no.... :frusty:

I have just about 2 full drums to get rid of already. :ballchain:

At one point I had a waste oil burner I built, it worked awesome for getting rid of anything from oil to used thinner to dead gasoline from old mowers.

Since it was a radiant heater it was too slow, it took a lot of fiddling and if you weren't keeping up on it it would really smoke...

Since the garage is a semi residential area (1/4 - 1/2 acre lots) that really wasn't acceptable, I try not to call attention to myself.

I left about 1/2 a 55 gallon drum of used motor oil behind the shop at our old house when we moved. It's a white plastic one and you can see the oil in it. They tore the house, shop, and cut down all the trees. I went by there the other day and the barrel of oil is sitting there by itself

    Heh :anonymous:

It will probably be sporadic. Been in a weird place mentally (nothing serious) and been busy with winter prep around here. Interesting going through all the tags

I brought a bunch of oil with us from the store, lot of different viscosity's. I figure I may as well use it since I got it. The Duramax gets Rotella only, the Honda Civic gets whatever since it leaks some.

I don't change oil on as many vehicles now (4th gen is a dealer baby for reasons :frusty:) and I keep a 5 gallon hydraulic oil can around here for my waste oil. Lost my two places I could dump it and it was full. Luckily the Thompson farm 1/4 mile from the house stuck a sign out front saying accepting used oil. Well I be dammed! Kinda weird though when I pulled up nobody was around, but I found that plastic tote with the note on it. I respectfully emptied my container and cleaned up the little drips I made. However, there are some other jagoffs that just left a bunch of full used 5qt jugs on a pallet that didn't even bother emptying them and taking the container home. I'm sure this will ruin this nice setup especially being so close to the house here.

    Classic!
In another 40 years that movie will still be talked about.

Movies like that, Blazing Saddle's, M*A*S*H, etc were all great classics. However, that could never put out movies like that with everyone getting upset over nothing.
