Deer hunting BS thread

Same thing the other night at my place. Six showed up.
Nothing around for a couple days, then the girls show up.
Good having them around. Live bait as I see it.

 

Thats way it is here. I can tell the deer are spooked by careless hunters cuz they will look up in a ladder stand...i know they dont smell me because they dont snort off. I see small bucks at begining of season then usually gone soon after it starts. Idiot neighbor came in on his utv around dusk and just drove around the trail on his property but im sure it spooked the deer enough to not come in at the right time.

One benefit is there is plenty of bedding cover around now. The 200 acre cattle farm around me has always had a pronounced browse line everywhere. Not any more. Deer staying on the property a lot more now instead of passing through.

 

I'm expecting to see a lot of downed trees as well in GA, including the 2 trees with my crushed stands under them. Had to slide by RK today and grab one! Won't need the rifle rest!

So a big scrape showed up 23 yards from one of my stands a few days ago. I hung a camera over it and hunted there yesterday morning and then again tonight. I pulled the card and look who was there last night at 6:01 when I was in another stand.

 

Is that the stand @six5crèéd was supposed to sit in?

 

No, he gets the gar hole stand.

Thursday high of 58 and back to cold nights . Things should pick up in the woods
