Fall/Pre-Winter spray wax. I did paste wax in the spring. And hit the Tonneau Cover and everything else with 303. The 2X per year waxing keeps everything beading nicely year round.

Took my 2015 foe the annual PA state inspection. In and out in just under an hour. Pulled the rear cubbies out of the 2014 so I could start trimming them and mounting stereo goodies. Mimicking the system in my 2015. Fosgate 8inch powered sub, 4 x 75 watt amp and line out converter. Everything fits in the passenger side cubby. Going to try and run the wiring a little neater. Here's the 2015 setup20241019_175755.jpg
In between doing this I repainted the grill surround for the 2015. Trying Krylon Fusion this time. 3 color and 3 clearcoats.
Last but not least I pulled the rear bumper and hitch from the 201520241019_173759.jpg
Cutting the fenders tomorrow and getting everything cleaned up. The Brute Force Fab high clearance bumper that's been in the garage for 3 years FINALLY goes on next weekend.

Whheeeeelllllll let’s see day before yesterday I changed out the driver hub bearing thanks to 05taco4x4. Then today I did spark plugs, air filter, PCV valve, cleaned the throttle body. New tires were last week and gave it a good wash. Truck is finally about ready to hit the mountains

Wire tucking and rerouting... not happy with the old disintegrating wire loom or the factory routing. Good old jdm days of floating engines and clean engine bays. Grouping together areas and already have some really nice FR braided wire loom to be installed with the appropriate diameters and heat shrink termination.

Fabbed up a nicer solution for the pcv breather hose from intake with some coolant elbows and sae reinforced fuel line I had left over. Incorporated the use of the new rubber grommet set in cleaning uo the intake to hose connection.

Roughly located my bedside exit exhaust routing. I have welded half a dozen iterations and I'm just clamping them at this point due to major gas and wire/rod consumption

Overall just prepping for boxing the frame, fabbing up new crossmembers, cutting off oem rear suspension and burning in the new setup20241006_183219.jpg 20241006_183259.jpg 20241011_130829.jpg 20241006_193509.jpg

New tires finally. Don't love the Rubitreks sidewalls *quite* as much as my old wildpeak AT3ws but they were way cheaper at only 160 per tire, and lighter than the new AT4Ws. Feel very similar on road, a little smoother but my old ones weren't balanced well and very worn so hard to compare.

I cut up some new mounts for my door tweets. The Lowe’s bucket specials were aging out lol.

A/T drain and fill today.. was really pleased to see that the fluid in there was not too bad considering im at 94k miles and this is the first time. I missed the recommended 60k flush…. Anyway feels really good to have that off my “100k List”. Also pleased that the OBD scanner that i bought last year with A/T trans temp monitoring worked perfectly. $ well spent.
