Even though most part numbers are pretty much the same across Toyota/Lexus, the do not share all parts. That is why if someone state side has a JDM car/van/truck, ordering parts from a local Toyota dealer is a no go, since the JDM part number doesn't match anything in the US computer system.

@TacoTuesday603 if that is designed how I think... i really like the idea.
But, the thought of trying to swap out the fairlead... I'll pass...
Probably just going to cave and get a FlatLink.

It is designed how you think. No metal at all in the system.

I regret not putting welded nuts into the bumper. May do that when I recoat

Hi everyone, I absolutely love this thread and am super pumped I found it. I’m in CT and am game for meet ups. I have a 2020 SR5 with minor add ons if you will. I love to tinker and wrench (youtube is amazing lol). There are definitely things I want to do that I have no clue about and am looking forward to this group because of it. I’ve been looking all over but haven’t found any posts and hoping someone here can help out. I ended up buying a set of Kustom54 AB6, RGBW demon eyes (w/ remote). The guy I bought them from said they were “plug n play” on his 19 TRD. Welp, that certainly was not the case for me I really do like them but if I hook up one of the wires the way it’s labeled (to “INJ”) all hell breaks lose. Multiple fuses blow in the panel under the hood and the dash lights up like a christmas tree to include an abs warning I spent a good chunk of change on them and hope someone knows how to hook them up because I really do like the look of them. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the sr5 lighting harness doesn't have provisions for LED lights, you'll probably need an adapter harness. @daveeasa makes one I believe

I was secretly hoping @daveeasa would chime in. I briefly checked out his page and hope there’s a wire harness for non oem led’s

Most likely cause of the trouble is the high beam connector polarity is wrong. On the high beam, driver side positive is solid white and passenger side positive is solid yellow. All grounds are white with a black stripe. It’s easy to get the driver side confused. Also note polarity is opposite on low beam connector vs high beam connector. I believe the browns are ground in these harnesses but not sure, just skimmed.

also they are junk, throw in the bin and get OEM LED with an SR harness from Johnny or morimoto xb v2 if you don’t want to also have to buy a harness (OEM LED is best.

Test high beams with truck off to confirm proper polarity. I’m betting that resolves the trouble. I believe the INJ location needs a left side add-a-fuse to be in parallel and is therefore a series fuse pair with a right side add-a-fuse so if you have a 15 in there then I’m guessing it blows the inj fuse first ? Best to stuff a 1 or 2 amp fuse in the add a fuse spot too.
