GM doesn't look much better and it's on the driver side.

This picture don't look too bad, and it's optional.

Correct, I actually thought they did a pretty decent job and how they made it. Look and flow with the truck.

Has GM used a 4 cylinder in a full size that long?

The 1-2 mpg gain for the 4 isn't significant but the $4,400 upcharge for the 5.3 is.

2.7L and 2.4L are not equal.

2.7L is marginal. 2.4L is unarguably too small.

    Gen 2 Tundra had two V6s (236/266 and 270/278 hp/tq) and a V8 with 276/313, but a 4cyl with 278/317 won't cut it?

Gen 3 Tundra is more bloated. The 2.4 would move it, but be under boost all the time trying to move it around.

thats cool, I just can't take their reviews seriously. They're all fluff. No real world off roading. they take it on "approved" fire trails and dont exactly truly test anything. a bunch of middle aged dudes that don't really wheel.

At 1.2 mil subs on YT split between the two minus all the costs to buy and review I hardly doubt they are laughing.

They're the Dave Ramsay of their industry.

Someone comes in, says "I want an truck, what do I get?", in my experience, they were a really good channel to see the current crop doing a 99% application test. Yes, me and you and others bounce these things off trees for fun. 99% of buyers are just getting "an truck", not to actually do wheeling things.

Dave Ramsay is the "I have zero financial skills and knowhow, what do?" level of his industry. It's the same idea for the TFL channel(s). They don't get into the weeds of it, but they're high level, and that's what they're aiming for.

they hold Zero weight in Enthusiast. i could give a fuck about them. I dig deep into "real reviews" i'll ask the actual consumers of their feedback.
