Sweet baby jeezus that’s a lot of tanks of gas. I feel like you could have a fab shop make one for less.

Worth it? Dunno, it’s a bit more expensive than two 5 gallon Jerry cans

    I drive a Miata.
I've towed a trailer through some remote places and never really felt that range was a problem.

And when on the road, you're going to be wanting a leg stretch every 250 miles anyway.

My opinion. It's a waste of weight and money.

Oof, you think the taco lean is bad now..

Probably better off with a couple jerry cans on the opposite side

$2300 for a gas can? I thought the $20 gas cans at gas stations were highway robbery for dummies that run out of gas, but this seems like a new level.

Heard that when filled they add so much weight to the truck (186 lbs for 31 x 6lbs) and introduced a significant lean on the truck when filled. If you could get rid of the spare tire and put a 10-15 gallon one there that is balanced out with the truck think that would be a game changer.

There is another thread about this that you can search for.
I have the tank, it’s been over a year now.
My quick thoughts, I have not filled more than 27.x gallons into it. I have tried many times. In my specific case, it brought me to factory range from ~300mi because my taco sucks gas bad.
As far as ‘taco lean’ I don’t notice anything. But I also have LT on my truck along with several hundred pounds of weight.
For long drives and extended camping trips I would recommend it.

OP, seriously how can $2300 be a better buy than a $10-20 10 gallon gas can?

My boat had a $30 gallon tank and got 2 mpg. I took it on many 70+ mile trips on the upper Mississippi where you have you plan ahead where you are going to get gas and running out of gas is dangerous. When I was worried, I filled up 1 or 2 5 gallon plastic gas cans and tossed them in the back. I never ran out of gas.

Or, with an electric fuel transfer pump:

2 or 3 of the 5-gal jerry cans would be the simplest solution. Can’t imagine burning through a whole tank of gas without taking a stretch break or two.

Agreed - just an option for the OP, if he’s doing a Cannonball run.

There's a thread or two about this tank. I'd opt for a jerry can, roto pax, or Wally World gas can special for much less imo.
