:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Warming up again, but at least no 90's (yet). Neck therapy at noon. Putz as permits.

    Happy for your wife.

Pretty sure it was Judy... can't remember her TW handle, but she said recovery is much easier when cut on the side vs the front. I have no first hand knowledge of said procedure. She told us this maybe 10 years ago. :notsure:

May get started on front gutter guard replacement, if the new stuff comes today. If not, won't break my heart to wait another day. Haven't had any significant rain to test the first section yet, BUT no leaves piled up on it is a good start.
This is wierd.. lost my cellphone yesterday. Finally found it on the computer keyboard slide-out, but not until after I had emptied, re-filled two full trash cans at the curb. Glad to provide a little entertainment for people driving by, and the neighbors. Getting old ain't for sissys. I may just take a break today, enjoy the fireplace. Wife says I can't get into trouble that way, but I'll bet I can.

Just like everything else they put on the shows, NO accountability for their misinformation; I’d think they could lie all they want. :notsure:

Depending on the size of the roof, in heavy rain, 1 hour can put around 1000 gallons of water on your roof. The 1,000 gallons assumes a 2000 sqft roof surface.

Good morning. Early voting starts on Thursday in Maryland. I hope everyone plans on voting for the candidate of your choice. Lots to do today so I am getting an early start.

I can relate to how much the excitement brings on the rain gutter project. I’ve been working on one for a while trying to re-route the drain spout, and the 90° elbow has been the blame for its delays, at least your new stuff is coming, I’ll have to make mine with my gutter-less experience

I don't know about everyone else but when I need surgical advice, I tell the surgeon what I read on an internet automobile forum.

I found mine at Walmart. I have found that they help with flexibility while improving strength. I have 10 pounds and may move on up or just continue to increase reps, don't know yet.

Also ask if it's cheaper if you bring your own Dremel and duct tape. They seem to really like that.

Another fine day in the neighborhood! There will be weather today! Yeah! A great day to spend outside raking, blowing, picking up leaves for the compost! A little vitamin D day.
Have a wonderful day everybody! Enjoy and be thankful we have been granted another one!

Yeah... maybe our surgeon does things differently. He's the guy that everyone goes to when their own surgeon has screwed up their surgeries.

We went to an event about a week after my wife's surgery and saw a woman hobbling around with huge scars, hanging lumps of flesh, and barely able to walk... and wondered if that was in the future and we hadn't quite gotten to that point yet. Then when my wife's sister was having a knee problem with her former surgery they sent her to our guy to fix it. We were lucky to find our surgeon first. We'd seen the other guy and he just didn't seem quite right, so we shopped around. Glad we did.

I'm pretty okay posting to people about my experiences. Doctors aren't Gods and we are responsible for our own bodies. Better we get more information than less.

I don’t know anyone that takes medical information from the net as gospel. Most people use the information from what ever forum as a basis for a dialogue with their doctor. It provides questions to ask your doctor you may not know to ask. For example as previously discussed to go in from the front or side surgically I did not know about that. That’s something I would not have known to discuss with my doctor.
The bottom line is that we have to be a strong advocate for our health care. Information gleaned from the internet helps us to do that. Lastly I never mention the internet to my doctor. What I say is that I’ve researched this and then I start asking questions.

Thanks Ken (and others). One thing about this thread is that most of us are around the same age, and suffer the same age related issues. I greatly appreciate the comments, especially those who have personal experience. It does give me a broader base of info to discuss with the Dr. - who has hundreds of patients and only knows me from office visits and report forms.

Well, I googled "install a rear dash cam in 2020 RAV4" this morning. Yeah, not quite on my capability list today. Not horrible, but definitely not today.

WOW, this is ridiculous, been hunting for 14 days and haven't seen a deer while on stand yet, beginning to think they were abducted by aliens!

Next time call it.... will save digging through the trash can.

 no, you do some research and then ask a question and see what your doc says. Doc might have not thought to mention it.
