Well... some maybe. Talk to my drive shaft about how well that is working out.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Speaking of which, isn't there someone closer than Utah that can re-tube your driveshaft?

Probably. I think it needs some freshening up on the slip yoke too. I don't have a place near me and to get down south would be just as inconvenient as shipping it off to Ogden.

That's why you need 2 shafts. While 1 is getting fixed you can be thrashing on the 2nd.

I'm going out on a limb guessing you don't have the oem shaft anymore.
Otherwise, why not toss that in for the time being.

Not much to share from the road today. My dad took me to this place called Dion’s Pizza down here (local chain) that isn’t anything special except they have an Italian sandwich that comes with Greek dressing and it’s like crack in food form. I had to get one more before leaving. Get one if you are down this way.

Finished hiking most of Petroglyph National Monument which is broken into several sections. Rinconada Canyon:

Great views on the return leg:

At this point I’ve accomplished more than expected in the area and now I am adrift even more than usual lol. For some reason I am feeling like heading towards home just because I have seen dick for leaf changes and that saddens me. It’s hot here too, I want fall weather. Hopping on the interstate now with nowhere in particular as destination other than to put on mileage. Suggestions welcome, TW take the wheel haha!

PS - Kenosha has a damn good driveshaft shop if anyone is ever in need. It’s like a mile from my house. Can help TW Express if ever needed.

Do you remember what thame sandwich was called? I had some kind of sandwich at an Italian restaurant a few years ago that was really delicious! I can't remember what it was, though.

I'm willing to help with that as well. I'll be in the Eau Claire area next weekend, so like halfway up to Bayfield. :D

I do, it was called “The Italian.” They get very creative with names there.

PS - I think I’m headed towards Amarillo, TX. Should I do that 72oz steak eating challenge on webcam?

LOOOOOL no donations needed to make me do silly things but appreciated. I’m not sure I’ll make it before close tonight but there’s a chance for tomorrow (they open at 8am?! Wild.) and if I do decide to embarrass myself I’ll post back. Wonder if there is a Spirit Halloween nearby hmm… Stopped for gas in Tucumcari right meow to reply, back on the road again.

I really enjoyed Bishops Castle near Rye, Colorado. 12705 State Highway 165. Kimm'r heard about the place and wanted to go. I wasn't too keen about the idea, but I had a blast exploring the place. Spent maybe 3 hours checking it out. Would've stayed longer but the rain chased us away. It's a very cool and unique castle that Ol' Man Bishop built by himself over a 53 year span. The curvy metal walkways are an engineering marvel. The metal walkway (skyway?) between the upper floors was very slippery in the rain. Check out the politically incorrect messages scattered throughout the place. No entry fee but donations are appreciated.

That place is super cool and I had it already marked on the map, but earlier I decided to drive towards Amarillo, TX and now I’m in the other direction. Some other time, I need to dedicate an entire trip for Colorado alone. Scratch that - I need more vacation time!

Tomorrow so far the plan is some local shenanigans, maybe one or two things in Oklahoma, and then not sure which direction I’ll go next.

It's a bit out of the way, but Big Bend NP is a fascinating place. Might still be a bit warm during the day.
