2024 NASCAR THREAD

I am not buying this as that much of a conspiracy. Plenty of video evidence of parts coming off the 48 as it hopped through the race. I think the rulebook is pretty clear that you have to make weight and they failed to keep the parts on the car. Sucks it happened but I doubt NASCAR will find much more wrong with an HMS car than any other car in the playoffs. You could pick any of the ones remaining and everyone of them could fail tech for something. That's why they are where they are. With the exception of a handful of drivers, it is not the driver making the difference in these things. The 5, 20, 45 and maybe the 11 due to experience in some situations give those teams a small edge but other than that. It's the guy on top of the box and the teams changing the tires.
I love the hate for those that interpret the rules in NACAR differently than intended. That is literally what the sport is about. I doubt a car has ever won a race that was not cheating somewhere. Petty used to run 50 more cubic inches, you know the black #3 was insanely cheated up. Hell, the 24 made it an artform and the 48 was an extension of that. CHEATING IS WHAT NASCAR IS. In this case they just didn't use enough zip ties.
Dale Jr famously said something to the effect that if he had a car that was legal he didn't want to drive it. And if you are in a legal car then you need a new crew.

Mr. Mediocre backs into another one. The 9 got mucho fucked. The 45 just drove off into the turn like physics didn’t apply to him today. Oh well, I expect the 11 will be all in to win at the paper clip. Hopefully Chase can pull off a win there.

5 failed inspection on first pass through. Been sitting on jacks for two hours with not much work.
Not sure what the issue is.
