I have a 2005 Tacoma Access cab with 195K on it, I recently had a problem with the front brakes dragging so I replaced the flex lines , front and rear, which did not solve the problem, replaced the calipers, no more dragging but brake pedal was soft after repeated bleedings, replaced master cylinder, pedal feels firm without engine running but as soon as I start it pedal will slowly go to floor while putting pressure on it, have tried bleeding them several times to no avail, don't know what to try next.

You most likely have air in the ABS lines. You will need to have the dealer bleed it.

I bought a Foxwell NT630 Plus scan tool ( currently 119.00 on Amazon ) as it was advertised to do the ABS Auto Bleed , which it doesn't on my truck, may work on newer models , but I was able to activate the pump motor on the ABS Module and flush the air out of it after which I bleed the system with my Motive pressure bleeder and now have a firm brake pedal again, hope that helps others having the same problem.

Method you used to accomplish that?

    Good job!

I also got the same Foxwell model. I have a 2015, I haven’t had to use the Foxwell to activate the ABS, assuming that function will work. I’ve used the Motive bleeder to bleed my brakes successfully. I’d also be curious on the method you used to activate the ABS. Thanks

Used the OBD2 button and from there you can get to the ABS system and cycle the motor.

Good job in finding your solution rather than pay the stealer :spending:doing it.

Thanks, would rather spend the money on a tool that I can use and not just throw it at the dealer .

Just replaced that stupid star adjuster apparently it was siezed.

Made the breaks pedal 60% better.

instead of stepping on a cake, I’m stepping on a spring.
