I hit up the local Academy for a 1k rounds of 9mm bulk packs, still cheaper than shipping from online outlets I can find.
Do I buy more? checking account says "no", pessimist on the other shoulder says "yes"

 

The ironic part is, I bet you already have firearms, and you still have to wait...Nefarious people wouldn't wait 2 weeks, if they already had the means

 

That’s crazy, I have always had very good service from them.

 

The real irony is that my XD Sub compact 40 was at my 4 O’Clock when filling out the paperwork

 

landm has the 20% off anything that fits in a bucket sale. they included ammo into it so i bought 200 rounds of 6.5 hornady eld-x and 40 270wsm.

on a side note, set up a target at 480 yards on our property, hit it very first round, and the subsequent ~15 on 8 inch square steel target i mounted to a dead tree. will be trying to get a few more set up at various lengths, would love to have some 800 yarders to plink at.

 

I even went into the Post office with copies of the tracking yesterday and what a shit show experience that was. The USPS employee could hardly speak English so another person came over looked at the tracking and immediately pointed the issues at the shipper, but clearly it’s been USPS that has had control of the package.

 

This waiting period to buy sucks. An now 10 round magazine limits. Waiting to move before I buy anything else here.

Another Boyd’s stock, this one for the Savage Mark ii .22 I’ve owned since high school. The last stock for my Tikka was completely drop in fit. This one, and it was explained in their description, needed to be fit because my gun is older. Specifically the safety arm when pushed from safe to fire would make contact with part of the wooden stock. Easy enough to remove some material and continue to dry fit until it clears without removing too much material.

I’m pretty impressed with these stocks, especially at their price points. This one was under $200. I did have to install the sling swivels but that was no biggie. Kinda cool - this stock is fully ambidextrous. It’s their SS Evolution model. Color is Royal. Because I’m a royal pain in the ass. Not pictured, the is rifle takes 10 round magazines that only stick out from the bottom of this stock by about 1.5-2 inches.

Range results will be forthcoming soon for this pinker and my .223. I’ll definitely go before my birthday next month.
