    Headed out to see the leaves. Truck felt funny. Thought it feels like my lug nuts are off or something. Pulled into a trailhead and .... front tire came off. Found 2 lug bolts . Looks like the rest are gone.

    That's not good , glad you pulled over quickly to check on that wheel . That looks to have been caused by to much torque on the lug nuts from a air impact gun

    I do my own rotations and I'm anal and use a torque wrench to 85lbs. Used to do an air wrench until I over torqued them and had to have them torched off!
    Truck just felt...not right..wallows. and the brake pedal on the first push felt like it was going too far, so thought I better stop at the next pullout before I get on the curvy 70 mph section with traffic. Cranked the wheel and felt and heard the front wheel. Sh&t!!
    One of the lug nuts looked like it was an over torque but the other looks like a clean snap. Forgot to take pics of the ends. Had it towed to a shop and we'll see what all is wrong. Hopefully just the lug nuts. The mechanic unscrewed the broken lug from the one nut by hand. Thinks the wheel is okay but will check it obviously.20241022_165956.jpg

    camper is fully cleaned out and winterized - just got back from mom and dad's and pulled the batteries and cleared out the last few things that i can't leave in there over the winter.
    still gotta separate the truck and camper but i'll do that this weekend when i have more time - and more daylight.
