Take one single swing at the cost of JUST the body conversion and paint. No labor factored in.

I actually don’t believe wrap would be that much of a problem. Learned some big things during my whole fiasco fixing the rear issues and can say, I have zero hints of wrap being a thing anymore. But we all know the direction these builds go. So no, links are not out of the question.

So I'm having trouble getting this harbor freight ram to work on its side. Works great vertical, but when in the bender only comes out about 12 inches before it stops.

Should I lay it on its side and completely fill the fill port? It's full of oil when stood up.

Lay on its side and fill up. Had the same issue and now it works good besides the small leak

You’re good. Just keep adding until it extends fully and call it good. You will have a mess if you add too much.

It’s almost like you think I haven’t been around big power ever in my life. When the reality is, I grew up around 4 digit power cars. I know what it takes to make big power reliable. And I don’t see why it’s a problem that I want big power in MY truck?

They'll wrap right up with much more than the lethargic stock HP output but a traction bar ain't a big deal to setup really, certainly cheaper than a whole link setup if you have a leaf setup that works well for you already.

big power on street = speed, big power on dirt just means your sandblasting shit even worse as your wheels spin with zero traction. just giving you shit because of the engine price tag you mentioned when in reality that engine price tag is going to need another 100k in stuff to handle it

A bit steep on the 100k to support. It’s actually more in the realm of 20. Especially if 4wd is dumped.

Which is like 75% of the reason I want to build this bulkhead off of the truck. Because I know it’s going to be expensive and I want to enjoy my shit while I prep for the swap.

Anecdotally, the more stupid I get with the truck. The more I see really cool shit roll through my doors for work. Like this one I just wrapped up and sent out.

I was quoted about 4k for paint for my bedsides and fenders. Not including the glass itself. Body work is expensive $$

It’s very expensive. Especially in today’s world with the regulations being put in place. My dad has been doing high end restorations for 40 years now. Luckily he works for free for me and vice versa. Otherwise the body on mine would have been in the mid 20’s. I want to say I had 5k tied up just into primer, sealer, paint, clear and additives necessary. And that doesn’t include the materials to rework the glass where it was needed.

Luckily my wife works at a dealership with an amazing body shop so I didn't have to pay a few hundred for some top notch color matching my glass.

I would 100% just wrap my truck a different color every year if it wasn't for the exposed core support always being silver

Shiiiii that’s what my 4.slow gets these days highway. I might touch 12 if I don’t go over 60. Playing is 100% single digits. Probably 6-7.
