Ah. I have honestly been fine with the stock Glock triggers. I know what to expect from them and I'm not a competitive shooter......so I don't really need one. But I absolutely love my Elftmann triggers in all my AR's. If they are anything like those..........I'd pony up to swap all mine. I just don't want to take a chance  I tend to find a brand and stick with it. The cost sucks, but I can take my time and change each trigger when funds are available.

I lucked up when I bought my first Elftmann(used mil-spec prior) and have used them ever since. For me, they're worth the extra cost. I have no doubt Timney, etc are great triggers.......I just love the Elftmann

I'm sure there are also great Glock triggers. I would really only want to swap for an Elftmann though......and only if they perform the same as the AR's.

Im cheap! for me to spend that much on a trigger would be extremely rare. I have a hard time spending $160 bucks on my AR triggers but I love the Rise Armament RA-535 triggers. To get a better Glock trigger, you just have to shoot it. I take all my Glocks and Polish all the internals and after time the trigger comes around to be Awesome and will make the trigger much better. I have run Overwatch and Timney and sold both.......

Yeah, I'm not willing to take the chance at that price. Now if I could actually shoot one and it felt like my AR triggers.......I'd eventually swap all of them. I'm by no means an expert, but the Elf AR triggers are slick as owl shit. I tried a CMC in a EPC-9.....sold it to one of my docs, turned around and bought all the same stuff with an Elf trigger.

I'm not bashing other triggers at all b/c I know there are some great ones out there.....I'm just an Elftmann fanboi. Nothing more. I like what I like :D

It's also a harder pill to swallow spending that much on a pistol that costs $500ish over an AR that is a bit more costly after building.

At the time, it was the only trigger I could find for the EPC-9. I didn't really have much of a choice. But that thing was gone as soon as I was able to grab an Elf   The doc I sold it to basically just bought all my parts and I gave him a completed gun :D

As a (new?) gunsmith, being that I like Glocks, it is one of the guns I focus on. As such, I improve the trigger, using factory stock parts.

I'm not sure I'm as good as Johnny Glock's triggers are, but I'm working on it.

It is less expensive to have your gun reworked as opposed to replacing the trigger. As good? Hard to say - everybody has their own feel and opinion.

I am really curious as to what a prosecutor would say in a defensive shooting case. Seeing as they are talking to a jury of most likely non-gun owners, they could make it out that your aftermarket trigger was designed to cause mass harm (or some such malarkey), the way talk about hollow point bullets.

    I wouldn't worry about that

As long as you don't have a switch...they're not gonna notice that more often than not

My trusty G43 shot straight outta the box and has worked flawlessly in 11 years. I do like the G43X but there’s nothing wrong with the origional and I’m not going to just get another weapon to put in my safe. Got enough of those. If any trigger is bothering me it’s my M&P40. Can’t like it but I do like the weapon

The 17 is my favorite. I love my 19 but the 17 fits my hands a little better and I am a little more accurate with it. Can’t go wrong with a 17.

Question: Has anyone tried a Timney trigger in the Gen 5 Glock G19 ? If so how did you like it?

I am curious as to how this compares to a reworked Glock factory trigger.
