Dimensions? I’m trying to plan out my future garage build now and have a lot of similar items (tractor, ATV, zero turn) that will likely be stored inside. I was wanting a space with a lift and some space for wood working for me too.

Not sure what kind of woodworking you do but sharing space between it and other “dirty” hobbies is a pita. A little bit of oil and a piece is ruined.

I have like 3 distinct bays and I think it works pretty well

I definitely wouldn’t call it “fine” woodworking but do make small furniture pieces and would like to spend a good portion of time in the future making some nice stuff. I think since I plan to have a concrete slab and stick build the frame, I would section off a portion in the back to be semi-private compared to the remainder of the garage. Say like a 30x50 garage and the back 10x20 area for woodworking.

I’m in an old 30x40 pole barn and my woodworking area is about 12x24. Plenty of space imo especially cause the project itself can be in the middle bay. I can take some pictures next week cause it’s a mess right now. Packing to go camping/wheeling

Some older pics. I’ve added some cabinets and have a larger fridge now. And decorated.

    parts and stuff
so we moved into our house july 2023. the house came with a 20x20 shop. while its been nice to have, its needed some work done. this is what it looked like on move in day.

    Shop1.jpg
    shop2.jpg
    shop3.jpg

recently, decided to fix some things. the shop had 2 rooms in it with a door in between as you can see in the previous pics. well, me and my dad decided to remove part of the wall that separated the 2 rooms. we removed everything from the door to the front of the building. its not a load bearing wall so no issues there.

    shop4.jpg
    shop5.jpg

    shop6.jpg

the front walk in door had some issues with it like gaps above the door and the wood underneath the thresh hold being rotted. also, the wall next to it had a lot of dirt coming out of it from ants. so we removed part of the wall interior to see what was going on. well, doing that destroyed the fiber board so since i had 3 pieces of peg board that fit perfectly there, made it a peg wall. saved me from buying and matching the same type of board.

next weekend we will continue cleaning out the shop, clean the walls, vacuum/clean the floors and then paint the interior. this is what the shop looks like on the outside currently.

Yeah we talked about having you zap on a new tongue jack some day. It’s low on the priority list but I’d love to get up there.

I need to clear the space out at my house to really lay out some string and get a good idea of sizes. The reality is though I’m years out from a build. Wife needs AC so waiting on quotes for that. Kitchen and dining combo gets done before the garage too I’m sure.

FINALLY getting my garage worked on. Always had sketchy power, but now new schedule 40 piping and it has its own breaker box now, and the best part, that box will now power my machine/wood shop. So stoked. Got tired of setting up the 50’ cord!

    And Summit Saw Shop.

The needles from the Monterey Pine make it worse. But, ALSD to the rescue!
