I'm actually not primarly a rifle hunter, it's something I do maybe once a year if I'm lucky. This is mostly going to be a range toy that is a nice piece of glass for when I do get a chance to hunt. Honestly my old sig 2400bdx and kestrel did everything I needed for the rifle range but boys and their toys.

 

I still use the kestrel with the X.
A give me on 1/3rd the wind call is non-negotiable imo.

I don’t like using the drag models on VECSS. I use custom curves nowadays. Because I don’t like having a library of drag models for the same bullet at different Mach. The CCs on there don’t seem as full as out of the AB library.

just looked again, maybe it’s exactly the same, and the layout is different. Just seems like there’s less PDMs.

 

Guy on my local board had this posted and was willing to sell me the rmr and tlr hl for $400 for both. Ended up buying the gun, 3 mags with 50 rds of ball ammo and 31 rds of federal hst rds and tier one holster for an extra $385. $785 total. Not bad

Nice. I got to check one out at a LGS. I think it was listed for around $549. I was tempted to buy it but already have a P-07 milled for a Holosun.

Take her to an NRA Women on Target day. A couple of hours of classroom, and a couple of hours of shooting on a range. Women only.

It will be a gentle (non-testosterone) introduction to the shooting sports.

If you are near North Georgia, I can help you out. Otherwise, search your local clubs or the NRA web site.

 

We're in Upstate SC so not too far off. Maybe that could be a good introduction.

 

There is a class on Nov 3 in Hiawasse, GA at Chatuge Gun Club.

I don't know if it full or not, but can find out if you are interested. The next one there will probably be in April.
