I like this analogy. Except Dave would tell most people they shouldn't and can't afford the truck, lol. I have some financial know how and will agree with the no car payment mantra, though it pains me more often than not when my neighbor is rolling around in his new Raptor in Avalanche.

:notsure: the same way Ramsay's videos/lessons are childs play, and TFL is way too high level for me too.... Doesn't mean they don't do good for their target audience. We just aren't their target audience.

Agreed, I used to follow Max Powell and some of those guys who built up and used their trucks like many of us here, not sure what happened to him, seems like my content feed now tries to shove TFL, Ben Hardy, TRDJON and Kenny down my throat.

Not all. Watch the last video from Stradman. He got hammered. They don’t lease them but buy them. Not to mention all the other costs of buying new and selling. Again I am sure they are making a living but they aren’t laughing all the way to the bank.

That's the problem with forums, you start to think everyone "wheels" their truck like the few off-road beasts here. That's not the case tho, some ridiculously high percentage of Tacomas...trucks in general.. never really leave the pavement.

TFL isn't the be all end all however they do solid towing tests, mpg loops and mpg testing in various methods, stress testing in extreme heat and terrain and they do off-roading trails that the vast majority of owners NEVER do. So, at the end of the day it's pretty solid all around content. They also seem to be relatively unbiased. They miss some little stuff here and there and maybe don't focus in on areas to the depth I would like to see but it's pretty good.

If you actually stop and look around, even on Tacomaworld, you'll quickly see the majority of the trucks here are relatively stock. That's for a reason.

TFL is fine. Nice guys, they have some fun, and they go into some depth with their content. Texas Truck Channel is fun too.

@smugly I guess this didn't age well as your salesmen I guess needs a better computer with better data. As I stated salesmen don't know any more than a person on a forum. I know you think they don't work off hearsay. Still no word of 25's. Not even a tease on their website which would then still be over a month out.

I hope they do a press release soon. I rather doubt they’ll do release early next month because the news cycles will be consumed by the election. Maybe right before Thanksgiving but who knows. Or Thanksgiving Day with the NFL tie in. Have the Salvation Army big bucket in the Tacoma bed. :D

Lol, you’re funny. My statement was never about when they were going to officially post it on the website, my info I was told was the statements about when they were doing the switch over for allocations.
But what’s your point besides going out of you way to be an €-sshole? i’m just passing along information that was given to me, but I do love the fact you took all that time to try to prove a zero purpose other than being an €-sshole.
but in the end, when they post it, and when they start actually switching over to build are two different things as all of us have experienced in the past.

Yeah figured you would start name calling, rather than just admitting you were wrong and so was your so-called sales guy as I said he would be full of sh%t. Then again you are probably angry since the 25's are not out yet and you keep posting in all the 4G forums like you are a "know it all"

Prove to me that they are not assembling them right now, and I wasn’t name-calling. I was calling it the way it was. I’m tired of dealing with children on here.

If they were building them right now then wouldn't those builds be allocated already and visible to dealers? Would they be making 24's and 25's at the same time or have a cut off date for the 24s and a start date for the 25s? I still see allocations with week 43 and 44 build dates and this is week 43 so they are still building 24s.

No, they’re just stated tooling up. From what I’ve heard,
none of them have been completed yet.

    pretty stock
Just popped over the 4th gen section to share my experience today. Just out of curiosity popped into my local Dealership to check out a beautiful fully loaded limited today in the pearl white. Was very impressed! loved the new motor and trans combo. Puts the power right where you want it in the low rpms. Seating position was great and even with the moonroof I had enough headspace. That was a deal breaker for me last year with the moonroof on the 3rd gen my head brushed the headliner. VERY ANNOYING. Was a good experience. Not going to pull the trigger cuz my 23' only has 12k miles and is paid for, but if it was time for a new one it would have been a no brainer!

    Cheers!

You are a lucky man my friend,
I think you are the first one to get to experience a limited. I have yet to see one anywhere. Sounds like you had an awesome experience as many others of us have. Great post.

I guess a better exclamation would be that their tooling up and setting up at one factory while still producing 24 in the other so that their constantly producing vehicles. And once the first factory is up and producing, they will tool up the second factory for 25s.
The two factories being Guanajuato and Baja California, both in Mexico.
Hence, why you still see 24’s still coming through allocation. Things I’m sure young Goin2drt probably never stops to think about.

What major tooling change is occurring for the second MY production that wasn’t available for the 1st?

I would have no idea, but I’m sure they have all kinds of little tweaks and some fixes that they never speak up
