Because I'm stubborn and still prefer iron sights on my pistols over red dots. I'm not anti red dot. At 54, I've been fighting blurry front sight syndrome for quite some time now. Having contacts for distance doesn't help either. Fortunately it's not affected my accuracy to date. I finally caved and picked up these full lens +1.00 safety glasses. I don't know why I waited so long. Front sight is crystal clear and no noticeable affect at distance.

Here's the link if anyone is interested.

I put a fiber optic front sight on my FA97, which many people feel is blasphemy but it was either that or stop shooting it. Getting old sucks

this is kinda crazy, but I just inherited from a friends father n law all this stuff!

12 guns (most long guns in bad shape) 2 glocks, sig, 2 berettas, s&w, etc..
Huge assortment of ammo from .50, 450 bushmaster, 357, etc..
Huge assortment of reloading gear that is brand new!

I'm going to move the bulk of this on since I don't need it. Think the best thing is to just sell the guns to a local shop and bulk sell the rest. Thoughts?

I'll let you in on a secret...

Having issues seeing the front sight clearly, I had some shooting glasses made that have the focal point of my sighting eye at front sight distance (31" for me) and a normal script in my other eye. This allows me to see the front site with a slightly fuzzy target, and a good picture out of my other eye.

By using reading glasses, you loose the sharp image at distance.

It may take a few minutes to get used to the non-normal image, but the brain does a really good job of figuring it out.

Selling to a shop means you'll get way less

Put them on consignment at a shop thatll take less than 10% of final sale

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!

I agree with JB. Take a little time and list on gunbroker, or consignment. Or offer them around. Gotta be honest that S&W sure would be nice, and curious of the long guns too. A private transfer might net you more, but a little more work for you. I'd pay all ffl fees and shipping :D

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
If that did turn out to be the case I’d be a curious party about the beretta in the green fobus holster on the left myself.

I honestly don't want the hassle of individual sales and shipping. Some of the long guns are in bad shape (marlin 22 wmr/jc something 410 bolt action/etc..). There is a nice Remington 1100 and a Weatherby 243. I made an inventory list I can post just for fun. I started to inventory the ammo and just got overwhelmed with all the variety.
Also, holsters, ammo, and reloading...I don't want to look at yet. Haha. I mean...who has 450 bushmaster and .50 beowolf?

Currently, no. Previously, yes, in the future again, yes. But those are stories for another adventure.
