Ok. So there was a giant missing piece of the puzzle. Sure, you cleared the body mount and pinch weld, but it certainly wasn't without cutting and welding. That's not what is required for 33 or 34" tires, but it would certainly help

The cutting and welding got rid of the sheet metal factory mounts and replaced them with significantly stronger mounts that also give more adjustability is making an improvement. Doing a CMC and firewall smashing may make room, but it also is not making anything better in fact it is making things weaker and less safe.

The more of a negative offset the greater the rubbing on the cab mount

rubbing the frame is not bad.

rubbing the cab mount is not bad. Because this is addressed by doing CMR.

question is what else will rub.
At this point I at minimum rub my tub because 1. I don’t have JD Inner Fenders

I also rubbed my front ARB bumper and had it trimmed after to stop that

    among other things.
Also deleted my flares which results in the tires flinging on me
And potentially reduced aerodynamic MPG for no reason because air is hitting exposed tire tread instead of gliding over a curved flare.

I just can’t justify $500+ on black plastic bush wacker flares that don’t even come with bolt mount system. Doesn’t seem like a correct price for what it is to me.

there seems to be eBay knockoffs of that for cheaper and better price but idk how good they are.

Rim width op is not measured from edge to edge. The rim width is measured from the tire seat on the wheel. Backspace is wheel width/2 plus 1/2”. 8” wheel is 4.5 back space, 8.5 is 4.75 , 9” is 5” etc. these #s are based on a 0 offset wheel. If you decide to go + or - on offset then you simply add or subtract accordingly.
