1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

I do work for myself, although I hardly call it work and it's not like I'm a real business

But I am often making one-off parts for many members, here in this group, or forum, and even other forums

When I'm "busy" I'll work a good 6-8 hours a week.

I'm pretty busy enough as it is being a stay at home dad, but it's fun as hell so the little bit of metal work I do is still a lot of fun without ever feeling like it's a job

These are just 6 orders I'm fulfilling -



Have another 12 orders left which I'll do in the next 2 weeks, and still a good +20-30 unconfirmed orders after that

 

I'll add that outside of me cutting my own shit for my own self, the confidence in cutting specifically sized parts, or intricate designs, is all thanks to those here that trusted me to do so.

Zane got signs from me, Kira got signs and parts, Craig got a lot of signs as well, and other members started to inquire after seeing what I made for them.

The forum is a huge reason why I became as comfortable as I am doing this (on the CNC side that is).

I prefer it over wood working; easier to fix metal than it is fixing wood when you fuck up a cut or gluing something down
