24" from center of wheel to the bottom of the fender well? If so, that's way more than I want.

Yea center of wheel to bottom fender. I realized that was with my camper shell on. I just measured it again with no shelland it's probably over 24". Sorry for the crappy picture.PXL_20241019_001645595.jpg

Nice, another single cab SR5 truck! It's funny, when I got my truck in 2013, it also had TRD Sport wheels on it, but I changed those out quickly as they were very corroded.

For those of you that did the bench to bucket mod and later sold the truck, did you sell your truck as is? Trying to debate if I want to put the bench back in (which will be easy for me) or leave the buckets in.

Despite having zero issues with I did the swap (everything works, no dash lights, etc), I don't know the legality of selling a truck modified this way.

Most likely I will have to return it back to OEM condition so thankfully I still have the bench that I couldn't even give away for free.

Sometimes things come up that make one take a different direction. Who knows, maybe I will just keep it but either way the decision isn't made yet.

Changing the bench to buckets (IMHO) is the best thing one can do to these regular cab base trucks. That bench is just awful.

Shouldn't be any issue legally with selling the trunk with the bucket seats in it. You are using the factory mounting points and factory seat belt with factory seats. That being said you'll make more money putting the bench back in and selling the seat separately. It's a lot easier to sell a pair of bucket seats for good money over a bench seat.

Ok, here's what you do. You install the buckets in my truck so you don't feel bad.

I don't feel bad. Not the first project that I ended up selling.

But no...not doing a bucket seat install on a Tacoma again. Haha. It is just too hard to explain on here how it all comes together. This forum and the EWD are your best friend if you do it. The rest is just spending lots of money for the OEM parts to tie it all together.

Now that isn't a bad idea but I actually like the 4 banger with the 5 speed manual. My days of going fast have been over like 10 years ago when I got out of owning Subaru STis.

And thus we see why I haven't done it. Well plus I occasionally do have two passengers on rare occasions. :anonymous:

I have a 5 speed, a 5 speed Tremec TKX. I’m 65 so my going fast days are over too‼️
But boy it’s sweet not having to downshift to 3rd gear just to try to keep up with traffic going uphill. Had some Ricky Racer in a 350Z who thought he would jump in front of me. Between me and an 18 wheeler. I shut him down real quick, just because I didn’t want to tailgate the truck. After the top of the hill the 350Z comes up and gives me the finger then tries to accelerate. He looks over and I’m right beside him laughing then I nail it pulled in front of him just to slow. This pisses him off more as he pulls around and speeds away. About 10 minutes later a Highway Patrol officer has him pulled over. I tap my horn many times like you would do in a celebration. The officer nods his head.
I was a bad boy. :stirthepot:

Put 34 miles on a 2024 SR extra cab yesterday. I’m keeping the old girl for a couple more years but oh my the new one was sure smooth. The 8 speed trans was an eye opener compared to my 2014,,,IMG_3386.jpg

I ordered all new oem complete center console parts after I did the bucket seat swap, ordered 9/29/24. They emailed me on 10/1 saying that 2 parts were backorder, 1 was 1-2 weeks out, the rear part of the console was 3-4 weeks out. I contacted sparks Toyota Monday to check status. They replied back today, they are expecting it at the facility FEBRUARY 10TH. :angrygirl:

I've read through as many pages of this as I could. Does anyone have experience running Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 coil overs on the front of a RC? I have a set sitting in the garage about to go on and realized they have 600 pound springs on them. Deciding if I made a bad choice or if it would worth getting a lower spring rate. Any opinions are appreciated!
