My girlfriend threw a baseball of 20s at me and said "buy yourself something nice" and I saw it as a fortuitous alignment. Plus, the labor will be easy, the truck mafia already made sure everything was clean, greased, and torqued for me.

If I like where the truck rides with Dakar mediums, what RXT option gets me closest? The info I've been able to find tells me Option 1 (no extra leaf). Yes? No? I'm an idiot?

Edit: Sigh, conflicting info. Headstrong says:

The "Medium Duty" leaf pack (EL111R) will provide approx. 2.75" lift (2005-2015 Tacoma)

Which is Option 3 according to Icon. I'm going to go ahead and trust Headstrong, doing so has always worked for me.

Option 3 is really stiff as hell and you would need to have a lot of weight in the back at all times to justify it. I went from Dakar heavies to option 2 on mine. If you carry a lot of stuff in the back of the truck on a consistent basis....I would go with option 2. Option 1 has a lot more flex and a softer ride but not really made for stuff in the back. Then again, you can always try it on 2 (which is the way that they come from the factory i believe) and give it a month. If you find it too stiff, take them off and reconfigure them to option 1. That is the best thing about RXT....they are modular

I'm going to start with option 2 - they come as option 1 now, FWIW. I had a chat with Headstrong and did some very sketchy curve matching with the three whole data points of loaded vs unloaded that Icon provides with their 2016 test truck, and compared to a couple data points with the Dakars.

If it's not turbo raked I'll just roll with them that way at least until I see what having the fiberglass shell on this winter does to them at "2".

Anybody have a phone # or fb contact for @Steevoreeno ? Messaged him for spraying Saturday but haven't heard back. And when I click his name it says he hasn't been seen since July.

Rear metal part of bed available. #3 in diagram. No rust on part, it's practically new.

I have a part that I'm looking to toss this weekend. Bought it for a project and decided not to do it. Looking to give it away. If you want to trade, I'm looking for an OEM tailgate handle in new or like new condition.
Somebody want it? I live in CT. Maybe TW Express if you're too far away.

I mean I tend to hoard parts so if you won't hold onto it and nobody in particular wants it, I'll add it in to my stock lol.

Called in a possible drunk driver tonight - first time doing that. Noticed headlights kept appearing and disappearing in my side view mirror. Someone was swerving back and forth rapidly behind me, but close enough where I couldn't see their lights until they started swerving. A little while later, they went out into the oncoming traffic lane, but didn't speed up at all, so it wasn't like they were going to pass. Stayed there for 5-10 seconds then moved back over.

I puled over and let him go by when I had the next chance, then grabbed the plate number and followed from a distance for a few more miles. Initially, they seemed okay, but as soon as they got behind someone else they started drifting back and forth again.

I'm not sure if they were drunk or just aggressive, but I figured better to report it than to have them swerve into oncoming traffic and kill or injure someone. I called the town PD and within 2 minutes they whipped out in front of me and pulled them over. Then, I saw a second cruiser change course and put their lights on headed in that direction. They couldn't have observed anything because they lit their blues the instant they saw the vehicle. I didn't think PD could pull them over just based on a call, but maybe they ran the plate and something else came up that gave them justification.
