Funny you say that; my favorite trees in that area (circled) are on the southwest inside corner. Thats a pond (well, it was until it dried up) and bucks cut that corner alot when they're cruising. I generally wont hunt that area until Im seeing quite a bit of cruising.
The pond isnt very big, if its not too windy bucks can hear a grunt call if they're on the levee on the east side of the pond.

yesterdays sit, nuthin in the am, early afternoon small doe FINALLY came into the boss buck feeder, then a mature deer came in, i didnt want to take any shots, as i was trying to determine how they felt bout the feeder, they were extremely tentative, stretching their necks out, but never engaging with the feeder. squirrels had plenty of corn on the ground, so they wandered off. did some light drop rattling, and had what looked to be a shooter, but wouldnt come within 75 yards, and wandered off. I didnt want to shoot the 1st deer to come to the feeder, and it was obvious those 2 does, hadnt been there before. the corn and beans all around have finally been cut, and that should improve. I only know that the deer have not been at the feeder, cuz i have only had to add 50lbs in a month and a half. oh, by the way, i really am impressed with conquests evercalm, thought the youngin was gone climb the ladder and join me in the stand !!!
