Got a new zombie mascot for the truck on Sunday afternoon…

 

I do not even want to tell you how much this guy cost!

 

I also bought some new magnets…

 

It actually looks I plowed through a horde of zombies!

Amanda and I went to my friend Michelle's junkyard in Morrisville this afternoon, where Michelle was hosting a charity event to help out dog rescue organizations; I donated $100, and Amanda and I got to smash the shit out of this 2006 Mercedes S430 (the damage seen in this picture had already been caused by other donors before we showed up). Some of you may remember that back in October 2022, Michelle let me drive my truck into the junkyard for a photo shoot and donned the "Zombie Huntress" outfit. Not only that, but I got to cover Michelle in fake blood!

 

Yeah. I remember that....
Pretty sure you got to smash a car back then too?

I actually ran the VIN of the Benz through Carfax. Not shockingly, it has been issued a junk title and can no longer legally be registered. The car was shipped from Germany to Baltimore in May 2005, before being sold new in New Jersey. It spent more than five years as a corporate vehicle and had over 157K miles by December 2011. The second owner bought it in December 2011 and owned it until December 2016, by which time it had over 165K miles (which means it was driven only 8K miles in five years). The third owner had the car from July 2017 to June 2024. The last reported odometer reading was almost 180K in November 2020, and the car got new tires at Walmart of all places on Halloween in 2022. The next Carfax entry after is that is an accident with minor damage reported on July 11th, 2023. A junk title was issued in Levittown, PA on June 18th of 2024. Michelle takes in so many vehicles per year that she forgets the backstory on this one, but it appeared to have been largely undamaged before it was selected for the charity car smash. My guess would be that something very expensive broke and rendered the car undrivable, that nobody wanted to buy an 18-year old non-AMG Mercedes S-Class with about 200K miles, and owner sold it to the junkyard because they didn't want it and it was just taking up space...

We had one volunteer "Zombie Huntress" at the junkyard event, and not only one who happened to be a mom, but my third autistic huntress! I did not have time to dig out the full outfit before we left, and I'm pissed because it turns out that bins containing all my Halloween stuff was right at the bottom of the stairs in the basement...

 

Michelle is the one holding the pink cell phone, and the zombie huntress seen above can be seen on the right in her normal garb...
