@RustyGreen Cole and I were headed to the men's cookout Saturday at church and spotted 3 guys out for a joy ride in this 1st year Nova, 1962 with a 6 cylinder.

From the looks of the wrap around rear glass it could be used for the front on something

 

Cole and I got busy Friday and got the trees cleaned off the neighbors side first then started on ours Saturday.






Cole finally let me get off the saw and into the skidsteer and I hit a branch and knocked the R clip out of the pin and had to find it.





That happened here.






After walking to the shop to get the clip and having a pack of nabs and a drink we were back in business.....so I thought.

I got in it and it ran wide open for a couple seconds then fail to an idle.

I replaced the electric fuel pump last year with one from Amazon. I noticed it wasn't running so I whacked it with a stick, it tried to start pumping but wouldn't. I know now why they sell them in a 2 pack so I went back to the shop and got the other one and changed it on the hill, mainly because I had no other choice.

Now I've got to rebuild the leaking cylinder on this side too.




After changing the fuel pump it ran fine until we quit for the day.


I started writing a song to the fuel pump.....

After a couple hours of this, Cole wanted back in the skid steer

 

Hit the nail on the head! So much to do, so little time. They say it’s going to be in the 70s later this week so I’m going to take full advantage. Too bad this work thing takes up so much time….

 

I'm going to wait till the very last minute to pull out the snow blower and probably be caught with my pants down because the Tecumseh engine finally had enough and sends the rod to the Moon

 

Sweet ride, I remember when those cars were everywhere.

 

And just what are you doing with your pants down with a snowblower....?

Good morning manly men, snow shovel operators, fuel pump smackers, pants droppers and...

... well, I really can't say much after that last one.

After a week off (and driving 2500 or so miles) it is back to work on the GMC...

 

You held it out there - I was just giving you the attention you crave - as a courtesy.

 

Ok, I better get outta here before Creed boots me off the island

 

I think you should take a week off from the GMC and never go back to it

 

Unfortunately it is disassembled in my garage so I really have to fix it to get rid of it.

 

Oh, I thought it was at his place. With that being said, you better get to it so you can get started on your car(s)
