I'm trying to be convinced to come out to CO in end of Sept/Early Oct of next year to run the Alpine loop and Holy Cross. Just sayin. Would be in the family whip tho.

In for dragging the Bronco up Holy Cross. :D

Edit/side note: you'll probably miss fall colors and be gambling with snow that time of year.

Maybe I'll slap some 37's on for that trip lmao. Clearance is def lacking on that truck.

Also a concern of mine, you think deep snow or just some covering? When do you think prime time is? My buddy is worried about overcrowding, it's his trip so I can only influence so much lol.

Mid to later September is prime for colors, but the later you get the more chance for snow. Could be a dusting, or could stop you in your tracks. :notsure:

Somewhere on here James has a trip report from a decade ago getting shut down on some high passes mid September.

Yep, end of September is amazing, but the weather is a gamble. That said, the past several years it has not been an issue at all.

It’s been a LONG time since I bought that rack, but after looking at some old pictures and measuring, I’m guessing it was the 19-3/8 height. The picture below shows a decent view of where it used to line up before I cut it down quite a bit.

They should really just make that a one way road. Cool road though.

    Yeah, I’m still kicking!

Life has been great, but things have gotten a little crazy at work over the last year especially. I had a health scare a week ago and realized that work was getting way too much of me and that my priorities were pretty out of whack. I’m working on that now.

Otherwise, life has been really good! The kids are growing up so damn fast. Our daughter is driving now  and our son seems like he gets an inch taller every week :D

Part of me trying to put the work genie back in the bottle so to speak is getting my evenings and weekends back. Part of that is so I can actually get some simple shit done on the truck to get it trail worthy again. I had to drive it as a daily for about a month (THAT is another story altogether), and she definitely needs some love and attention.

Anyway, I hope all of y’all (you, Brett, James, Monte, etc.) are doing great! You guys are my heroes for still getting out there and doing it haha!
