Driver side. Left and right when referring to a vehicle match the turn signals. The video above does a good job showing where it is.

Mine was plugged and leaking at 89,000 miles. I don't know but I think the direct injection on these engines is harder on the PCV valve.

i don't recall the socket size but, if you have a long extension (or a few extensions attached together) it is not too difficult to access it from the passenger side. **I know the PVC is not on the passenger side**.

What you can do is go across the back of the engine with the extensions to reach it. Easy peazy. Just be careful installing the new one and do not over-torque it.

Great explanation…..easiest way to access it.
The socket needed is a 22mm

Check out team oil drop video. They have a diy video for it. It's by the brake fluid reservoir kinda, but under some insulation .

PCV was super easy to change during my spark plug replacement. The insulation gets removed by one bolt removal, then you can get to the PCV by pulling the hose off and putting a 22mm deep socket on it. I spun it out and reinstalled the new one by hand. It seals by o-ring, not thread tightness, so it only needs to be spun until it stops. It's plastic so it definitely should not be spun to any degree that stresses the threads.

Definitely worth checking/replacing PCV before agreeing to any type of RMS repair.

I found it was easy enough to get out with a small adjustable wrench while I had some other stuff out of the way to do the spark plugs. I think I used a 6in wrench, but even shorter would be better.

Mine looked good at 129k miles. Didn't even seem like it was worth cleaning or replacing.

Cleaned my throttle body at 60k and it had a small stream of oil going from the air cleaner neck to the butterfly. Wiped it out. When I cleaned my dry AFE air filter last week the oil hadn’t returned. Gonna change the pcv just because.

Drivers side. Left and right is always as you are sitting in the drivers seat looking forward out the windshield. Not a dumb question.

I replaced at 50K. Nothing wrong with it, but I’m going to keep it refreshed every 50K long with spark plugs. Only reason I did spark plugs so early is I’m turning pretty high rpm on the highway, so I figured do it at 50K to make it easier to keep track of and since they are racking up use more quickly due to the higher rpm. Figured it couldn’t hurt anyways.

    12204-0P020 as posted above.
