A few copes are sloppy but overall for never even using a tubing bender or notcher I'm very happy with how it turned out. Took about 10 hours start to finish. Ordered some tube mounted shock tabs for when the time comes.

My best friends brother is a professional welder and he told me for 200$ he would put it on a table and "put them nascar welds" on it.

I'm good with design but know my limitations as a welder, and I want this thing to look really good.

You are correct. Just drove my truck to the gas station down the road, and I now I have CEL, ABS and Traction Control lights. Mixed with TPMS lol. Didn't know Christmas came 2 months early.

You should throw that $200 at him right quick if that includes all the gussets and shock mounts you still need

Did a quick morning run to Ocotillo to get a taste of the new front suspension. Its crazy what a few more inches of travel does. I did a run from Ironwoods to Blue Inn on the dirt road right next to the highway. Its whooped out pretty good for almost all its length and I was almost keeping up with the cars on the highway. By the time I was done the rear shocks were smokin hot. The front was hot but not like the rears. So more travel just means more money......time for 3.0 in the rear or just link it I guess. Speed in the whoops is a hell of a drug.
Being by myself means I only get poser shots.

this makes me want to get the solo kit or copy you with the LSK.
I definitely need to sort out my rear first though. Cage, recover, then hopefully link time.

This would be such a killer cruise with a few more in the line up. We hammered out some pretty decent miles yesterday in some beautiful fall weather.

If you’re in the Midwest and want to join, we are planning a spring cruise as well!

Kinda crazy how the front can change your perspective on things quickly, now you just gotta add more power! The way I went I’m glad I did my ls first cause with the way I get to work on my truck now I would never be able to do the swap I did now… but I’m sure your starting to think supercharger now huh…lol

What type of numbers can I expect out of a dmz kit without frame notch? Short bed 4wd driveshaft.

Also I'm thinking of making a triangulated brace out of tube to tie the rear hangers together. Bad idea? Frame will be boxed as well.
