Hey all. I'm about to install these sliders and didn't receive all the hardware. I'm missing all the spacers for the frame clamps. Can somebody please tell me the lengths for the short and long spacers so I can pick some up from the hardware store??

Had mine on for 14 months with minimal driving in the snow here in Wyoming. Apparently even the slight amount of salt mixed into the sand dropped by the snowplows was just WAY too much for the weak powder coat from Cali-Raised. They looked like the had been on a 64 Powerwagon... I asked them about it and they referred me to the can of basic black spray paint they sale for touch up. I just had mine coated with LineX (UV treatment added). I'll post a pic once I remount them. Need to have a driveway thats not covered in snow.

Sorry just saw this. I emailed them and they sent me the hardware. Yes, I did install them and it only took a couple hours; however, I think these were designed with the short-bed in mind. A couple bolt holes didn't line up for the larger bolts, so I had to use a couple of the smaller bolts in the "optional" locations for added peace of mind. I was hoping they would stick out a little more for parking lot protection against car doors, but they will work great for trail protection.

Going to order some for my DCLB but keep going back and forth on the kickout.

The kick-out is a REALLY popular option and for good reason, with an added stepping area and the ability to push out further when hitting rough terrain. We 100% recommend the kick-out option!

I don't see any reason NOT to get it unless it's an aesthetic thing.

If you do end up with them, check out my YouTube install video in the OP. I've had a lot of positive feedback... maybe @CaliRaisedLed will start giving me commission :p

Got my trail edition sliders with kickout and just installed the passenger side. Using both the small and large washer for where the slider had 1/2" holes but the frame holes were smaller was a good fix. I just drilled out the holes in the frame to 1/2" since the small washers were slipping through and the instructions refered to 1/2" bolts. On my 2022 OR one of the holes wasn't even big enough for 3/8".

I am a little suprised at how far the kickout sticks out and how little the rest of the slider does. The kickout sticks out farther than stock rear wheels and the rest doesn't stick out as far as the doors. Also would have been nice if they were a hair longer. There is room for a rock to hit the body between the slider and wheel.
Not a huge deal just if I was designing would have done it slightly differently.

I am contemplating switching out the hardware on the bottom for something with a rounded head to decrease the chance of sticking on rocks.

Installed the drivers side. Holes didn't align all that well on this one and it kept wanting to sit on top of the rivets and the slider seemed to have a bit of a bend in it. Had to get the holes to seat over the rivets and clamp it in place with a C clamp then tighten everything else down otherwise it kept hitting them and not sitting flat against the frame. Then on the other end the bolt for the black box comes through right next to the slider so the nut basically just clamps it on one side.

The spacer for the long clamp was a bit short but I was able to use extra washers in the kit to space it properly.

I am really not happy with the lack of proper support and protection for the brake lines. When I removed the plastic clips they were brittle and basically all broke. Does anyome have a part number for replacements? How about part numbers for alternate styles of brackets that could attach to the bolts that have stolen their holes or somewhere else?

I drilled out both vertical holes that were too small on the drivers side as well and there were enough backing plates in the kit to use 1/2" bolts for both but I was 1 bolt shy so I used 3/8" on one for now.

I may remove the handles at some point and cut them shorter so that I can put the end caps back on the frame.

Any idea what lengrh to cut them? I'm just getting ready to install and all of my parts came raw instead of powder coated and I live in the northern states where we destroy everything with salt in the winter time. I'm going to get them powder coated. I want to cut the handles to have them powder coated but I'm not sure how short to make them.

I havn't gotten around to cutting them down yet but am thinking about completely removing the handle part and holding in place another way. I would suggest taking the caps off and sticking them in place and seeing what you are comfortable with. If you have small enough hands I think it should be possible to hold in place without the handle.

Had the same thought process. Thinking I can lop the "handle" off, and use this tool for positioning. Says it can handle (HA!) 25 pounds so should be GTG! Might bend the handle a little to get it closer to 90 degrees. For $7.00 if it shits the bed after the second plate I don't care.

What now?!? These things become an extension of the frame and they are using aluminum backing plates? If that is the case I am gonna be pissed!!!
