So I just replaced all 4 wheel bearings at the same time today and I'm still getting a noise. It does it the most at about 27 to 35ish mph and sometimes it can be felt on floor board and gas pedal. Also at speeds of 45 and higher I have a noise that gets louder when turning left but turning right all road noise as well as noise goes away!?

Toyo open country at3s with less than 6k
Replaced driveline less than 300 miles ago
    Wheel bearings today

Truck has 334k and the transmission has the typical hard shifting lol. Could it be internal in the transmission?

Also forgot to mention, does it while holding speed and while on deceleration not on the brakes

Possible needle bearing issue. It is on the driver's side. Recommend removing the needle bearing and installing an ECGS bearing. Here is a picture, with the CV axle removed, of the new bearing installed.

If it goes away while in 4wd it's not the needle bearing.....however, I still recommend changing it out for an ecgs bearing.

Edit: see below, I got it backwards

My 2004 TRD OR is making a similar noise and I have been told it’s the planetary gears in the transmission.

That's what I meant, rushing posts at work lol. If it goes away in 4wd then yes, needle bearing. If not I still reccomend changing it as it's on limited time with a lift.

The driver side needle bearing in the front diff is not nearly as common an issue in 1st gens compared to 2nd gens. At 265K miles mine is still original and it has seen lots of use and abuse.

OP, if you engage your 4WD and the noise remains, look elsewhere and save the needle bearing mod for another day.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
    Bent brake backing plate, maybe.

Even so, might as well swap it out. Especially if hes going to have his cv axle already out. It's cheap insurance. To each their own :notsure:
