    Yesterday Mike and I ended up at the beach again and did the ham radio thing. Mike just received his call sign last week so it was his first time getting on the air. Band conditions started out really good with both of us catching contacts from Wales, Italy and France. After lunch we couldn’t pick up Europe anymore and band conditions deteriorated across the States as the day went on. It was still a good time. I didn’t take any pictures but Mike did, I’ll have to get some copies from him.

    Rusty, to answer your question, I have a dual battery setup in the truck. The radio is connected to my “house” battery with an Anderson plug. I need to add another plug in the bed of the truck as I am using a plug in the cab right now.
