Sleds are nice! In fact Costco was selling them 2 years ago…but just doesn’t work for me. Depending on where you hunt out here in Washington neither an ATV or Sled are an option. Thick forests and deep ravines filled with Blackberry vines or Devils Club and stinging nettles are normal. It’s a grunt just to get it back to the truck. Last one shot was in deep cover of old growth forest in a driving rain. Antlers were seen on one side of an old growth fir. Hind quarter on the other side. Snuck up to the backside and plugged a hole in him. Mile and a half drag to the truck. Worth every second. Here are some examples of where I typically hunt.

Its already been said, but Jet Sled is the way. I bought 2 of the smaller sized ones, and they fit side by side in a tacoma bed. With a DIY plywood sleep/bed platform, they serve as my "drawers" and fit perfectly underneath. They hold all of my hunting and camping gear (clothes/saddle/sticks/packs/etc) and can live in my truck for the entirety of hunting season. Then when needed, use it as a deer sled. In the off seasons, they hold fishing gear/hiking gear/whatever else you do for fun gear.

Bonus points for the jet sled, you still have to load the deer into the truck by yourself.. With a jet sled, you can prop one end up on the tailgate, then just squat the other side and push it in the truck bed. The hauler you linked might not be sturdy enough to do the same, but never used it so not going to say confidently that it wouldn't.

 

I push my jet sled up my 4 wheeler ramps, I hunt by myself about 98 percent of the time.
