Toyota extended warranty plan purchase

I emailed him on Saturday at 4pm. He called me back at 403pm. I bought the plan at 4:11pm. He was $800 less than the cheapest dealer price in Texas.

 

Nice...He spoke to me like he'd known me his whole life very friendly and knowledgeable..it gives me piece of mind knowing if ANYTHING breaks on my truck im covered for 10 years...

I have 14,000 since buying new in July of 22. I'm averaging 7,000 miles a year.

I have extended warranty and found out hub cap replacement is not covered.

$68.35 is the best they can do for 1EA.

 

Pretty sure that I've voided 75% of the warrantyable stuff on my vehicle at this point, lol.

 

Just FYI to everyone - I bought my extended warranty from Jerry a week ago and Toyota Financial confirmed this morning that it’s fully active and in the system and attached to my Vin number, so Jerry is 100% legit I highly recommend the guy —best prices in the country.

 

Should we wait until the 3yr/36k mile factory warranty is about to expire or get it now while the price is low?

 

Not sure … I’m probably jumping the gun. I would wait.

 

My rationale to buy early was that more complicated vehicles might drive the price up later or limititations might get added to problems that prove to be expensive to cover. Not sure if that will happen though.

 

This was my logic as well and why I’m sitting comfortably on an 8/125 platinum and not super stressed.

EDIT: I also believe, though, that Toyota jacking the price up on some vehicles would send a terrible message and I doubt their public affairs people or lawyers would advise them to do that.

 

I sent email to Jerry this morning. My warranty runs out in December. Gave myself 5 weeks for Jerry do the paperwork and for the booklet to come in.

 

Emailed Jerry yesterday, got a response by lunch today, with pricing.

Sent him required info. Could not be easier!

 

Jerry called last night and I bought the plan yesterday. 10 years/100,000 miles for $1,360; 0 deductible Platinum Toyota warranty. I put 13K miles on the truck in 3 years (3 cars for 2 drivers in the family), so I was going for duration more than mileage.

From the confirmation e-mail: "You will receive your copy of the paperwork from me within 3 to 4 weeks by mail and the warranty will be active. Toyota will send you the warranty book within 4 to 5 weeks.
The warranty book will have all your information on your warranty".

Factory warranty ends on 12/14/24, so I am all set for the next 7 years.
