How do you go about finding center of where that needs to be with the old hole all jacked up?

 

Luckily there was just enough of the bolt left in the bottom I was able to locate on it after getting it out

@six5crèéd when your measuring a tight tolerance like that do you prefer a good caliper or mic? I.D is a little different but O.D, I prefer my micrometer. It’s always been a discussion here about regular mic or digital mic. I feel my original mic is more accurate than digital.

 

When the tolerance is less than a few thousandths I always go to the micrometer. Used it and a telescoping gauge on this bore

I have digital calipers but not mics.

 

I see yours does, and raise you one buck.

Got a little more work done on the GX this weekend. Installed a Rear Long Travel Kit to go along with the Front Long Travel setup.
Now I just need to start designing some bumpers and install skids and sliders.

 

I've always liked the Coastal Offroad offerings. Especially because they are DIY kits. Good looking truck.

 

Appointment scheduled for next Monday to get the kid's license. First opening in Fargo is Thursday so we're driving 90 minutes to Jamestown.

Last time I was in Jamestown was for my oldest to do his driving test but he couldn't because the horn didn't work. So we ended up buying a new Highlander.

Thanks. Yeah, I have eyeballed the costal kit. It is nice, but I really want to design and build my own. I already laser scanned my GX and brought it into CAD to start modeling. Once I am happy with the design I have all the parts waterjet cut and I'll get to town welding.
