yeah that’s exactly what I’m planning on getting!! Have a little older VX 2 3x9x40 ready for it, essentially the same setup.. I’ve only read about it I guess so the feedback is awesome!!

We did too for most of the time. All you need is 2 gallons of water to rinse out the gut area. If it's a semi warm day we buy a couple of bags of ice to put into the body cavity.

Did you both scare the crap out of each other at that distance. I had a female Elk jump out of some deep ferns in Wyoming one year. We just stood there and stared at each other. Very big animal, and could have #@*#*@ me up it she had it in mind. I was walking through a bunch of deadfalls trying to find a spot fo fishing.

    Looks good!

Is that deer young? Looks like his body is small, especially for where you are.

I’m guessing he’s 4.5, he appears to have somewhat of barrel chest and looks to have a little bit of a gut. The reason I set my cameras on 20 second videos this time of year over scrapes is you can get a better look at them from different angles and size them up better.

    Another vote for the 220.
    Tack driver indeed.
    Mine has a VX2 Leupold 2-7x33.
2 3/4 Accutips do the job well and won't beat you up.
