Interesting - that explains it. Good to know if you own a plug-in hybrid. Maybe someone will come up with a 12v battery maintainer that is wired up to the plug-in circuit.

Smoke alarms or oil changes - a good way to remember. (Smoke alarm method is probably less controversial!)

Me too. But Friday is coming around soon - there’s still hope for a detour! @RichochetRabbit owes us some details. :boink:

Thanks for the review. I’ve used mine on my motorcycle and as a phone charger, but never to start a car. Good to know they hold a charge like that.

Funny situation now that you mention it.
I think the rest of the world changes their Smoke Detector Batteries when you change clocks to spring forward or fall back, yes?

Well..... We live in AZ where we don't observe Daylight Saving Time. It is Mountain Standard Time All Year Long. No crazy clock flippety floopety business.

So we don't have that bi-annual reminder like the rest of you do. What happens here is we wait until a smoke detector goes off in the middle of the night with that incessant chirping every three minutes. Then we change all of the batteries in the smoke detectors, the one in the deadbolt simplex lock, the one in the gun safe. Now I'll add running around the driveway in my skivvies and charging the NOCO at 2:37 AM to the list.

Surprisingly if you get the Lithium-Ion Top Tier Energizer 9v batteries, they last like 2.5 years before they start making the smoke detectors chirp. As for the meme posted above, funny thing is that in AZ, the Indian Reservations DO observe DST. So as you drive across the state, if your road skirts a res or even cuts through it you will see the time on your phone change back and forth depending on what cell tower it is connected to sometimes. Some Res gas stations have two clocks inside - AZ Time and Tribe Time. It's a leftover artifact of the US Government an the Beuro of Indian Affairs.
