Note that Morimoto isn't a company, it is a TRS brand. They don't make anything. The Morimoto headlights are made by Coplus out of Taiwan. AlphaRex also doesn't make anything, they just resell Vland headlights out of China at a premium.

That's how the same plug looks on the OEM ones. I saw that and thought I bent something, then noticed it on the old headlights.

In the course of a month and a half, I’ve spent over $2700 on LED headlights for my truck. Black Friday I dropped $1200 on Morimotos, then found out the light output at night was not up to par. I then spent ~$1500 on a pair of OEM LED headlamps. I now have a $1200 hole in my pocket knowing I won’t be able to recoup most of that unless I scam some poor sucker into buying my Morimoto V2 headlamps.

Moral of this story is…invest in OEM. Do it right the first time.

Yeah, my OR came with the better version of the OEM LED's (the version without the silly lettering in the corner lamp) and yeah, they are pretty damn decent. I don't think I'll ever have a reason to upgrade them. I do intend to aim them down just a bit. Even at the stock height my headlights land directly on the side mirror of most vehicles that are shorter than mine and I know damn well that sucks for them.

Damn, was about to send it on the AlphaRex ones but after reading this thread decided to go with OEM ones. Found a left and right OEM on ebay. Each had 1-2 broken tabs but stated they are fully working. Spent about 780$. Hopefully I dont get scammed and broken VLAND ones show up lol. We'll see. I even opted to go cheap with a conversion harness and got some ebay ones for $30. If those blow ill get the actual ones.

Aside from having massively reduced distance visibility vs OEM? But yes look at all that foreground light. So pathetic. Don’t fall for this Chinese BS.
