Oh I know there are a lot of dirt bags out there just trying to rip people off. That's why im really apprehensive. 8-10 wks is what I always thought. But I've only had 1 puppy in my life so I am no expert.

Love your Boxer BTW, that face is priceless!
Just cause he is a "breeder" doesn't make him right. There are MANY irresponsible breeders out there, just trying to make a buck. Go with your gut.... and get references. 8 wks is a minimum, and 10 weeks seems to be the max. With in that time frame seems to be a good mix of behaviors according to research. Good luck, and please follow your heart.
I think he does this on the side. He owns both parents and only breeds the female every other yr. He has the pedigree for the parents, passed down champ bloodlines, akc registered, health guarantee, also does training for hunting or house ect...I just want to make sure I get the right dog. I recently lost my dog a few months ago so that's why it's so hard to make the decision and pull the trigger.

    Sorry to derail this thread

If he registers the litter and guarantees their health, that's a pretty good indication of his intent--which sounds good. Does he have hip and eye certifications for the 'rents? Both are common lab issues and you'd want to be reasonably sure these won't come up in the future. For the hips, it's usually an OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) certificate and for the eyes, CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation).

Thank goodness they like the cap. Hate to think what it would have cost you if they didn't! I can only imagine what a new one with that as a trade in would have cost....LOL:rolleyes:

She seems to have that way with people, everyone loves her. She has more personality than any other dog I have ever know/had.
If she could talk she would probably be saying.... "come on Dad take the f***** picture"

haha.... the cap has been great. No more dog hair in my truck :woot:
